ABOUT US

EXPERTS FROM 1964

Cárnicas Teijeiro started out as a family-run company dedicated to artisanal production and sale of various types of cured sausages from Sarria. This is a small town in Galicia and a stop along the Camino de Santiago (St James’ Way), located at an altitude of 513 meters above sea level and 116 kilometres from the city of Santiago de Compostela. Today, with over 50 years of experience and with our third generation of family members now participating, we consider ourselves to be leaders in the creation of traditional flavours.

We offer only top-quality fresh, salt-cured, and smoked meats and sausages, all of which are suitable for gluten-free diets and backed up by the strict quality-control methods we apply. Our company’s philosophy is still based on entirely artisanal production methods, along with a careful, caring, and passionate devotion to our work, with full attention to detail at all times. This has always been our mark of distinction and we never forget about our heritage: production without preservatives or artificial colours, use of natural casings, and smoking over natural oak wood. After all, these are the reasons why our products are so highly praised by our customers. The breeds that produce the pork we use are Cerdo Blanco (White Pig) and Cerdo Celta (Celtic Pig), and we use Rubia Gallega (Galician Blonde) beef from the Sarria Valley, with these last two breeds being 100% indigenous to Galicia.
